Cafe Presse == Awesome

I just got finished with a light lunch at Café Presse, which was excellent. The space was perfect: light, and airy - with the skylights 2 stories up offering niche views of some pines on the Seattle U Campus.

I had the Tomates tapenade, white from Nimes, and an americano (Cafe Vita - who had a trainer on site today) which totaled out to 10$. A pretty amazing deal.

Today the space was filled with local celebs - I ended up talking with Mike of the Seattlest, while stranger folk, robot coop folk, and Linda came and went.

I can definitely see this place becoming a regular stop, probably in combination with Licorous - which is just down the street and was actaully how I'd heard of Pressé, by talking with Tim the bartender. As they both serve both food and liquor and are open till 2am they'll clearly compete a bit - but the vibes are very different, so I suspect they will actually help each other out - getting more traffic into the area.

Definitely 2 thumbs up
