Wax Taylor

Last night I went to the Wax Taylor [wikipedia] show at Chop Suey, which was excellent. The best show I've seen in a while. And I've seen a lot of good shows in the last month.

It was pretty much the standard DJ thing a mac and 2 PCs (peripherals, video ), a singer, a cello and a kick ass flutist. The flutist, was completely awesome - not only did she play the thing like a rockstar - I had no clue you could do that with a flute. She also danced every measure that she was not playing, talk about high energy.

The music was pretty much what I expected -which as a good thing. Much of I'd not heard as I don't have the new disc. It was a bit more political (onIP) than I'd thought and a bit less french - although he was very french, in between the songs.

On the whole a great night.
