Ginger Beer Recipe
19:30:55 MST on Friday January 16 2009 #- 1c brown sugar,
- 3/4 c white
- microplaned ginger, 1 large head ,
- cream of tartar, 1 ounce; (for heft, works with out)
- boiling water, 8 cups.
Mix and cover them up close for one hour, then add:
- 15 drops - essence of lemon
- 2 spoonfuls - yeast
Strain, bottle in plastic soda bottles.
Let brew 24-48 hours or until the bottles are well pressurized.
Serve with lime.
Spicing that works - well:
- 1 clove
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 dash regans orange bitters
- Pequin pepper
