Live Clipboard, unAPI and what Xiaoming's been up to
20:54:22 MST on Sunday March 19 2006 #So a couple weeks ago Tuesday, I was at eTech being nervous beyond belief about speaking in front of 1000 plus people. (Why oh why is it simply impossible to believe people when they say the words: "It's no big deal" ) At this moment Ray Ozzie was demoing Live Clipboard which seemed cool - but I so couldn't focus on the phrases he was saying much less the whole speech.
So today - after clearing a the backlog of a few days out of the office [which seems to take 2x the number of days I'm out of the office to clear]. I started to read my NetNewsWire for the first time in a week. And I read Jon Udell's entry on the Live Clipboard. Which lead me to unAPI and after some clicking to Xiaoming's* on unAPI and Live Clipboard - and his work on unAPI and Greasemonkey mashing it up with Amazon.
Dang cool stuff!
And I'll be tracking his blog :)
unAPI itself looks to be a bunch of library guys doing some interesting things with microformats and metadata discovery. Interesting and worth watching.
*Xiaoming was a co-worker when I worked at LANL's Research Library.
