Ski Season
Sun Oct 31 2004 09:55 MST #Rachel is very very big into skiing. In particular telemarking. Some days the convos pretty much go Snow, Kitties, Kitties, Skiing , Snow, Kitties.
So seeing as in we are obviously going to do a great deal of skiing this winter, and I have it admit I rather enjoy it myself, this week I've got together a nice little tele kit on the cheap. Last years gear is really cheap even now. I find this odd the technology is improving sure. But by 50% a year? I don't think so. I should have it all here by next weekend, and Wolf Creek has opened so I suspect I know what I will be doing next weekend.
This weekend we packed up the XC gear and hiked up the Sante Fe ski area mountain -- and did a bit of skiing down. Lots of rocks to watch out for, but it was good to get back on snow, it felt a bit like I had lost my sea legs, so a little practive was called for.
