X-Mas
16:19:11 MST on Saturday December 31 2005 #We're just winding down from a week up in AK with my Fam.
The snow was unfortunately lacking - it was raining up at Alyeska, when we went to meet my Sister, Jamie, and friends for dinner last night. Really sucky conditions for skiing pretty much through the whole week.
But a fun trip - it was good to see the fam, had a fun Xmas -- picked up some sweet loot. All the standard goodness. :)
And we got to see Brooke and Jamie's truly stunning cabin. It is so so pretty - and so filled with lights and views - it feels very much architect designed even though it was all them. Very very cool.
On other fronts: since there was no snow we got some work done. 'castingwords has a more solid infrastructure behind it, and some new features in the pipeline...
TechCrunch!
18:55:13 MST on Friday December 2 2005 #Um, speechless. TechCrunch just posted on us. This is going very, very, fast.
Lets hope we can code fast enough.
'castingwords on the Amazon Web Services Blog
18:44:53 MST on Friday December 2 2005 #We got another serious mention today. Tonight the AWS Blog posted a story on us! It's cool and it points out the real value of the service - Jeff Barr the author of that blog, managed to find his IT Conversations interview using our search, now other people can as well.
Cool, very cool.
Now we just need to get more content indexed, and the store online. We're working hard and the site should be getting visibly better from day to day.
Our startup got blogged by Business 2.0
11:44:51 MST on Friday December 2 2005 #Rachel had a brilliant idea a few weeks ago and we started working on 'castingWords to do podcast transcriptions via mturk. It's up and we're trying to get the million parts all working together as fast as humanly possible. But in spite of being barely operational, we've already got media attention -- the Business 2.0 blog, B2Day, just posted on us. Uber Cool!
